Slow Cooker Lentil and Ham Soup

1 cup lentils
1 cup celery, chopped
1 cup carrots, chopped
1 cup onion, chopped
2 cloves minced garlic
1 ½ cups ham, diced and cooked
½ teaspoon dried basil
¼ teaspoon dried thyme
½ teaspoon dried oregano
1 bay leaf
¼ teaspoon black pepper
32 ounces chicken broth
1 cup water
8 teaspoons tomato sauce

How to Make the Soup

There’s not much to it! In a 3 quart or larger slow cooker, combine all of your ingredients and stir them together. Set your cooker on low, put a lid on, and come back from work in 8-11 hours, ready to eat your latest creation!
